For a few years she was a submissive, obedient wife, but only she knew how much sorrow she carried in her heart and how many tears she shed in secret, for she could not bear her ugly, cruel husband. Then, one night, a trembling silence descended once more along the valley from which the poor woman had climbed so many times, her heart leaping with love… When people climbed up to find where the terrible events had taken place, they were astonished to see water dripping in the hollow of the rock that had once sheltered the two of them – tears from eyes still weeping for lost love…
